This 1-star rating is strictly for the garage and does not reflect the rest of the store. My vehicle was making very bad noise and only went to this CT garage instead of my usual because we could get a ride home from my in-laws who live nearby... most CT offer a free brake inspection, they charge just under $30 w/ tax. Then they call me saying a whole bunch of things needs to be replaced and the total comes up to OVER $1,250! I ask if the manager could do anything on such a high price and didn't even offer any discount whatsoever!! Not a single dollar! They also say that their brake pads are not lifetime guaranteed when my usual CT garage tells me they are and credits the brake pads price off the bill... So not being satisfied i refuse for them to do any work, I pay the inspection fee and bring my vehicle to my usual CT garage. They charge me a little over $700 instead and also credited me the inspection fee i paid at the CT - Aylmer/Plateau! That's $550 less!! They told me the real truth on what needed to be changed and not a whole bunch of other things and inflated labor charges!! STAY AWAY from this CT garage, they will scam you!
Soooooo many things you can get here. One stop shop really. I needed a #0 screwdriver with a mag tip, they had it in stock and very affordable. Needed windshield wiper fluid and they covered that too. Anything you need for the home they will have.
Needed 2 new front tires, because I damaged one. They ordered the correct low profile tire, installed today with oil change in under 2 hours. Good service.
It was almost perfect, I stopped as I was passing through the city and I got a flat tire to be repaired due to a screw that got in. They fixed that no problem, and with a quick turnaround, also customer service is fluent in both languages. However, only until I had left and was about an hour away North, I noticed that they had kept, or broke my wheel cover and didn't notice before since they parked the car very far from where I had to pay. That is the only thing keeping me from ranking them higher.
I feel like the store part of Canadian Tire deserves a good rating since they always have sales on stuff like cooking equipment and they carry everything like some sort of better quality Wal-Mart. However, the garage department really tried to screw me over, and that's why their google rating is so low. Id give a good 80 to 85% for the store part, but service is just bad and the garage section is really trash. I would recommend going to any other garage that's cheaper or go to another Canadian Tire.
