Quiet hotel. Hotel feels old, needs new interior decor. Washroom was clean. Stains were found on the wall. Service was good. Room cleaning attendant entered the room to clean up even when the "do not disturb" sign was placed outside the door. It was probably a mistake but was nice enough to leave a note. Breakfast was okay. Service was excellent. Nice humble staff.
The room was clean, the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was also good (but the dining room a bit small).Free parking spots and good location if you are driving.For all this you have to pay in advance (usually I pay on the check out day). Good thing though, was that from the site where I made the reservation, there was a free cancellation policy that I could have used even few hours before the check in.
The rooms were adequate. They were worth what we paid for and they were comfortable and we were not disturbed by any other guests. The service at the front desk was terrible. The girl was sitting in her bf (I assume) pickup truck waiting for guests to arrive. She came in and out do the truck several times and was constantly on her cell.
PROS: clean nice staff good breakfastCONS: do not have aspirins! (I know... This is not a hospital but my headache was killing me at 1am... Please improve your service... Thanks)
Seriously the greatest hotel experience I have ever had. Now I am in the comfort of my own home and the great people of Gatineau are surrounded by the chaos of yeaterday's tornado. May God guide you in these dark times
