I am new to the fish hobby and have been buying my supplies and most of my fish and plants here. Some staff is clearly more knowledgeable and interested in helping than others. The owners are lovely people and clearly care for all their animals and plants and always willing to help. I have only seen one sick and one dead fish in all of my visits, which tells me they pay close attention to their tanks. The store is always clean and so are the tanks. The only thing is some of the younger staff will kinda ignore you unless you go up to them yourself, which depending on your preference can be a good or a bad thing. They are fully bilingual so don't worry about coming from Ottawa, it's definitely worth a visit.
Staff was super helpful and friendly, and as far as I could tell,they also seemed knowledgeable. The store is clean and smells good, considering how many aquariums they have. They let us select specific goldfish!
Came here for the first time today and I fell in love with all the aquarium things. Great selection of decorations, fresh plants and beautiful colourful fish! I was happy to see all the animals and fish looked healthy. Very friendly, bilingual staff. Will come back very soon. See pictures of my new Molly, named Oreo. :)
I have four pet stores in my area and I do not have an issue going a little further for this outstanding service. Best prices around hands down. Employees are very knowledgeable, answering any question you may have. I had a filter valve break on me. I called a few places and I was told left and right I needed to replace the entire system. I called this store and was asked to bring it in for testing. After a few minutes, the store manager had fixed the filter, mentioning that the valve simply needed to be replaced. This simple fix saved me the price of a brand new filtration system which retails over $350.00.A great example of client over profit.I have been returning on a religious basis every two weeks since.
Excellent service from amazing staff. We drove from Orleans to buy something we were unable to find anywhere in Ottawa. Worth the drive.
